A'18 promises inspiring keynotes and hundreds of education opportunities.

The city that never sleeps, that is always hustling and bustling, that is home to some of the most iconic buildings, businesses and individuals in history, will soon play host to the largest and most influential annual event in the world of architecture: the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Conference on Architecture 2018, or "A'18."

Coming to New York City from June 21 to 23, A’18 promises a stellar attendee experience, with two keynotes to inspire and invigorate from the stage of Radio City Music Hall. First to speak will be Sir David Adjaye, renowned designer and innovator and the architect behind the National Museum of African American Culture and History. When the museum opened in 2016, it was heralded as the "Cultural Event of the Year" by the New York Times.

On day two, Sheela Søgaard will take the stage. As CEO of the Bjarke Ingels Group, Sheela is a pioneer in the realm of architecture and has helped create one of the most imaginative and successful international architecture firms in existence.

In addition, there are more than 650 education sessions and workshops available, with content ranging from resilience and safety to ethics and leadership to design communication. Dozens of tours fill out the conference program, offering attendees a chance to experience New York City’s architecture firsthand.

USGBC is proud of our relationship with AIA and their members. This year, we will have a presence on the expo hall floor, and you’ll find that USGBC+, our member magazine, is an official media partner of the show.

Throughout the day on Thurs., June 21 and Fri., June 22, attendees can “Meet the USGBC Expert” for half-hour sessions on topics including credentialing, LEED v4.1 and LEED for Cities.

Come visit us at booth 3021, and be sure to pick up a copy of the spring issue of USGBC+ while you’re there!
